This is a common scene on False Bay beaches during the summer months. Trek fisherman wait for the spawning shoals of yellowtail to come close enough to the beach to be encircled by the net dropped from a rowing boat. These nets are hauled back to the beach with hopefully some fish in them. This is a scene that I have watched with excitement and anticipation since early childhood.
